aku gi tengok dah kat proton edar..
so.. we can safely say this car is already proven..
when i was inspecting the show car in IOI mal puchong..
the front bonnet already have a very big dent..
and that just a week after putting there..
and the front is short..
like i wonder..
what’s the used of an airbag / abs is the car is soft enough to kill the passenger..
i tried looking for any NCAP test for this car but couldn’t found one..
safety = hard body shell + seat belt + airbag..
safe = hard body shell + seat belt
unsafe = seat belt + airbag – hard body shell
no Auto trans., no Airbag, no ABS, no EBD..
so go figure..
even how tough the proton shell will be but it still need airbag…
let just put in easy term :
Myvi is better (eventhough the center console look bad) with nice trimming color on the door panel and the locking mechanism is nicely put..
proton have a nicer dashboard than Gen-2..
but the door trimming and the interior isn’t that attractice compared to Myvi..
a small compact city car aren’t ment for fast driving..
the most important for a compact city is ease of use..
with a manual transmission??
to me Perodua really won in that category..
the auto transmission in enough for city driving (who need semi auto in Traffic jams anyway)..
spacious wise would easily won by Myvi.. the back seat is very comfortable and lots of leg space..
Proton on the other hand is quite big.. but compared to Myvi, its just not big enough..
My personal point of view..
i can say Myvi will be more popular because it give what a consumer want..
spaciuos interior, easy (auto), compact and cheap..
Proton in the other hand can win they come out with the auto transmissin..
who needs semi auto for a small car (mostly bought by woman anyway)..
the plastic quality of Proton just bad!!!
